Arandu Arakuaa, the Brazilian indigenous folk metal band, has recently released a lyric video for the song “Padi” (“Anteater” in Akwẽ Xerente language). This song is from their upcoming second full-length album “Wdê Nnãkrda” (“Tree Trunk” in Akwẽ Xerente language).
The lyrics are based on the story of how the anteater appeared for the Akwẽ Xerente Indians from the state of Tocantins, animal very important in folklore and food of the people. In the music introduction, stands out the use of indigenous flute, Uruá, in addition to all the other elements that underline the mix of heavy metal, Indian and Brazilian regional music so characteristic of the band. “Wdê Nnãkrda” was produced, mixed and mastered at Studio Broadband in Brasilia by Caio Duarte (Dynahead) and will be released independently in Brazil in September 2015.
