Egyptian folk black death metallers Odious from Alexandria are still alive and they are preparing their second full-length album, entitled “Skin Age“. Odious were formed in 1998 and after 2 demos they released their amazing debut album “Mirror of Vibrations” in 2007 via Sleaszy Rider Records. “Skin Age” was recorded in Greece in Devasoundz Studios. Basem, founding member and the driving force behind Odious, announces there will be many changes compared to their first full-length, but he assures “Skin Age” will still be on the heavy and dark side. Odious have now a second permanent member, the drummer Tzortzis Boulos, who has added his own touch to the music. They have now a more black death metal oriented sound, while they also cooperated with the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra!!! I can’t wait for the result! Odious is currently looking for a record label and a set release date will be announced as soon as a deal is signed. So far they have only revealed the album track-list.
