FIMBULVET – Frostbrand

FIMBULVET - Frostbrand

Fimbulvet is another pagan metal band coming from Germany and particularly from Thuringia, like many great bands of the genre. They have been around since 2003 and have released 2 full-length albums, “Ewiger Winter” in 2006 and “Der Ruf in Goldene Hallen” in 2008, the highlight of the band in my opinion. In 2009 they released the EP “Kriegerwahn” and in the end of 2011 they return with their latest effort “Frostbrand – Read more…

DARKESTRAH – Khagan

DARKESTRAH - Khagan

Darkestrah may be the only metal band from Kyrgyzstan, but it is definitely a great one. Their members now reside in Germany, but their music is deeply penetrated by their homeland’s culture and traditions. They began in 1999 and after four full-length albums, their excellent shamanic pagan black metal attracted the attention of Osmose Records, who offered them a contract. Three years after their previous effort, Kampfar return with their 5th full-legth album “Mare”. The Norwegian pagan black metallers seem to be in their second youth, after the 7-year break between 1999 and 2006, offering us their 3rd work the last 5 years. And if their previous albums “Kvass” and “Heimgang” were very close to their first works, “Mare” sounds quite different in my ears…

ZAKLON – Услед Змёрзламу Сонцу
